Linkedit

Privacy policy

Last updated 19 August 2026

This policy explains what Linkedit collects, why, and what you can do about it. Linkedit is operated by Linkedit. For anything in this policy, contact support@linkedit.site.

What we collect

Your email address. Used to sign you in and to contact you about your account. We do not send marketing email.

What you put on your page. Your handle, display name, bio, links and contact details. All of this is public by design — that is the purpose of the service. Do not put anything on your page you would not want a stranger to see.

Click counts. When someone taps a link on your page we add one to a counter. To stop those counts being trivially faked, we take the visitor's IP address, combine it with a secret and store only the resulting hash. We do not store IP addresses, and the hash cannot be reversed back into one. It is discarded after two days.

What we do not collect

No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no cookies beyond the one that keeps you signed in. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone for their own purposes.

Who processes it

We use Supabase for the database and sign-in, and Vercel for hosting. Both process data on our behalf under contract. Some processing happens outside the UK; those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place.

How long we keep it

Your account and page contents are kept until you delete them. Delete your account and everything is removed immediately — profile, links and click counts. There is no recovery period, so be sure before you confirm.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how it is used. Deletion is built in: sign in, open your dashboard, and use Delete account. For anything else, email support@linkedit.site and we will respond within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so on linkedit.site before the change takes effect.
